A Critique of Two Theories: Telling Yourself the Truth by Dr. William Backus and Marie Chapian and How to Help People Change by Dr. Jay Adams Dr. Backus (2000) states that telling yourself the faithfulness is to help you possess the happiness you desire and to be the virulent you would like to be. Backus gives three steps to becoming the delightful person you were meant to be: 1) Locate your misbeliefs. 2) Remove them. 3) Replace misbeliefs with the fair play.
